Cabinet Turnover After 2 Years In Office

In his first 433 days, President Trump has had more Cabinet changes than most of his predecessors had in a full two years in office.

[Chart]

Note: We did not count holdovers from previous administrations. We looked at Senate-confirmed secretaries for each president in his first two years of office. The makeup of the presidential Cabinet has changed over time, but this analysis only includes those Senate-confirmed Cabinet posts counted by the Senate Historian. That means CIA director, SBA chief and chief of staff are not included. Note that Presidents Ford, Johnson, Truman and Coolidge ascended to the presidency after the death, assassination or resignation of their predecessors.
