“Some other race”

“Some other race” is a category that Congress requires the Census Bureau to include on census forms. It has been selected by many Latinos and other census participants who do not identify with what the U.S. government considers to be the major racial groups, which do not include “Hispanic” or “Latino” because the government considers that identity to be an ethnicity.
