Lexis-Olivier Ray, with the website LA Taco, was detained at the Echo Park protest. A few months earlier, he videotaped a more violent encounter with the LAPD, as they cracked down on crowds after the Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series. He was knocked to the ground and hit with batons even as he identified himself as a “member of the press.” Warning: Video contains profanity.
