A Rise In Reported Cases Of Measles Around The World

The number of measles cases reported each year has dropped significantly since the 1980s, when the annual totals broke 4 million. But after a steady decline, numbers are on the upswing. Preliminary figures for 2019 have already surpassed the total in all of 2018.

This data reflects actual reported cases. WHO estimates that fewer than 1 in 10 cases are actually reported.
