Field Trips - Onsite Group Tours

Bring your group or class to Christopher Park for an immersive program exploring the history and legacy of the Stonewall Uprising through the historic streets of Greenwich Village. Before the 1960s, almost everything about living openly as a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ+) person was illegal, but the events at the Stonewall Inn sparked fresh momentum for the LGBTQ+ civil rights movement!


Length: 45 minutes (adjustments can be made for your group’s needs).
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. This tour will be outside with uneven walkways, significant sensory triggers, and limited restroom facilities.

Join a Stonewall National Monument park ranger for a virtual program exploring the dramatic history of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising and its lasting impact on the LGBTQ+ civil rights movement, as well as the complexities of caring for and interpreting a historic site with a story still actively unfolding.
