China and U.S. have highest yearly greenhouse gas emissions

Greenhouse gas emissions from China, the U.S. and the European Union are highest in the world. For comparison, each of their emissions exceed the combined emissions from some of the places most at risk from climate change, such as 39 small island nations threatened by sea level rise and storms, as well as 48 sub-Saharan countries in Africa vulnerable to droughts and floods.
