Grocery prices up since last year

Across the country’s largest metro areas, groceries are more expensive on average than they were a year ago. Some foods are less expensive than they were last year — seafood, fruit and poultry are down in almost every metro area. But many groceries cost more. Eggs, for example, are up more than 40% in some places.
