Data from the National Association of Realtors shows the available housing stock - here, measured in months’ supply - has started to show growth, after tightening for several years. The tight housing supply has helped drive up prices.

Data is seasonally adjusted. The jump in supply in November 2015 was caused by new rules that delayed home closings, the National Association of Realtors said.
