States With Abortion Waiting Periods

— In Arkansas, the waiting period is “prior day.” A new law extending that waiting period to 48 hours goes into effect on July 21.
— In Indiana, the waiting period is 18 hours.
— In South Dakota, holidays and annual state holidays do not count toward the waiting period.
— Waiting periods in Delaware, Massachusetts, Montana and Tennessee are not in effect because of court orders.
