Capitalism Largely Rated More Favorably ThanSocialism
Democrats are more likely than other demographic groups to have a favorable impression ofsocialism.
Respondents were asked separately about their impressions of socialism and capitalism.
Source: NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist Poll of 1,416 U.S. adults conducted Feb. 13-16. The margin of error for the overall sample is 3.3 percentage points. Party affiliation results reflect the 1,164 respondents who identified as registered voters, and the margin of error is 3.7 percentage points.
