Change In Primary Turnout From 2014 To 2018

In 35 states that have held contested primaries on both sides of the aisle, 53 percent of primary ballots cast this year were for Democrats. The last time Democrats took control of the House, in the 2006 election, they made up 54 percent of primary ballots.
