Chan School of Public Health "Life in Rural America — Part II" survey of 1,405 adults living in the rural United States, conducted Jan. 1-March 2. The margin of error for the full sample is +/- 3.5 percentage points. This question was asked of half the sample (691 rural adults). For purposes of this poll, "rural" was defined as areas that are not part of a Metropolitan Statistical Area, as used in the 2016 National Exit Poll.
