Nationally, 12.3% of people per month received SNAP benefits in fiscal year2024
New Mexico and Washington, D.C., had the highest percentage of residents receiving SNAP benefits, at 21.2% and 19.6% respectively. Conversely, enrollment was much lower in Utah and Wyoming, where only 4.8% and 4.9% of the populationparticipated.
