At least eight of Camp Mystic’s buildings are located within FEMA’s designated floodway, a dangerous area expected to see high velocity water. Four of the buildings are camp cabins that housed younger campers. FEMA’s maps showing the floodplain, a less risky but still dangerous area, fail to include at least 17 structures in this and other areas of the camp that appear in First Street’s risk analysis.
