Federal election interference case Federal special counsel Jack Smith has brought a case against Trump for seeking to overturn the 2020 election. Judge Tanya Chutkan vacated an initial trial start date of March 4 to allow Trump's claim that he’s immune from federal prosecution related to acts as president to be litigated. An appeals court panel ruled against Trump, who's now appealed the matter to the U.S. Supreme Court.
New York hush money case Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump for business record falsification related to his hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. March 25
Federal classified documents case Special counsel Smith also brought charges in Florida, alleging Trump blocked efforts to return classified documents that were found in his Mar-a-Lago resort. May 20 The judge in the case, Aileen Cannon, is a Trump nominee who has appeared amenable to a shifting trial schedule.
Georgia election interference case Trump and a slew of his allies face racketeering charges for their efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia. Not scheduled. Fulton County prosecutors have suggested an August trial start. Trump and other codefendants are seeking to disqualify Fulton District Attorney Fani Willis from the case after she admitted to a personal relationship with a top prosecutor on the investigation.
14th Amendment cases There have been many attempts to strike Trump from state primary ballots because he allegedly "engaged in insurrection," violating a constitutional clause. During oral arguments, U.S. Supreme Court justices appeared skeptical of Colorado's decision to keep Trump off its primary ballot.
