Riders are more likely to be the reporting party of sexual assault, and drivers are more likely to be the accused party of sexual assault, but only by slight majorities.

A third party reporting a sexual assault is neither a rider or driver but could be a bystander, a friend or relative of the victim, or law enforcement. A third party accused of sexual assault is someone who was outside the car or a report in which the identity of the accused is not clear.
