New York election results

The New York City election saw the elevation of 34-year-old Zohran Mamdani, a state assemblymember, to the mayor’s office. Mamdani beat former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary, and then beat Cuomo again as he ran as an independent in the general election. Read NPR’s recap.
