Kansas election results

A reliably Republican state, Kansas has a surprisingly close U.S. Senate race this cycle as GOP Sen. Roger Marshall faces a strong challenger in Democratic nominee Adam Hamilton, a Methodist pastor. In the final weeks of the election, the race became a toss-up, as Hamilton’s strong fundraising gave him a boost and the national mood toward Republicans continued to drag on Marshall’s reelection prospects.

One bright spot for the GOP in the state: Gov. Laura Kelly, a Democrat, is term-limited and Republicans have a good chance to retake the seat.
