Nebraska election results

The retirement of Republican Rep. Don Bacon has given Democrats a strong pickup opportunity for his Omaha-based 2nd District, which voted for Democrats for president in 2020 and 2024 in Nebraska’s split electoral vote system.

Independent candidate Dan Osborn is again running for U.S. Senate, this time against Republican Sen. Pete Ricketts. While Ricketts is expected to win, the independent Osborn is likely to outperform a typical Democratic candidate in the state.
