Maine election results

Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins has held her seat through multiple challenges from Democrats and is up for reelection again. Her challenger, former state Sen. Troy Jackson, was a last-minute replacement for Graham Platner, a populist progressive who faced allegations of rape and dropped out of the race. Platner denies those allegations. But the contest continued to be competitive — and a target for Democrats to flip a seat in a state that typically votes blue statewide.

In the House, Republicans have a pickup opportunity in Maine’s 2nd District, with the retirement of Democratic Rep. Jared Golden in a district President Trump won three times.
