North Carolina election results

North Carolina is seen as Democrats’ best chance of flipping a U.S. Senate seat. Former Gov. Roy Cooper, a Democrat, is considered the favorite to win an open race against Republican nominee Michael Whatley.

The state also has an altered congressional map, with North Carolina Republicans targeting the seat of Democratic Rep. Don Davis. His 1st District race is seen as a toss up, however.
